The City of Dunedin has received an award from the Pinellas Long -Term Employment Advancement Program Stimulus (LEAPS) in the amount of $123,103.44 to fund 8 positions for the City from May-September, 2010. The positions include a Multi-Media Specialist, Information Technology Support Technician I, three Recreation Leaders and three Parks Service Worker I positions. "In this tenuous economic climate, it is imperative that local governments utilize grant opportunities." Angela Montgomery, Assistant to the City Manager and Administrator of the City Leaps initiative, said. "The funding is mutually beneficial for both the City and the unemployed, and we will gain much needed help for several departments. This is really good news for the City!" LEAPS is an employment subsidy program under Florida's BACK to WORK 2010 program, serving local employers and Pinellas job seekers.
