Waldorf School Holds Spring Carnival & Open House

waldorf school logoSuncoast Waldorf School will hold a Spring Carnival and Open House on May 1, 2010 on the school's campus from 10:00am to 2 :00pm .

This year's festival promises something for everyone. There will be singing, storytelling, puppet shows, arts / crafts and old-fashioned carnival games.  The 5th Grade will provide a demonstration of their Pentathlon skills and all the students will participate in the May Faire dancing. Local vendors will be selling a variety of crafts, homemade items, food and drink.

Congressman Gus Bilirakis will join parents, teachers and friends of the school in honoring the school's founder, Barbara Bedingfield, at a special dedication ceremony starting at 1:00pm.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to tour Suncoast Waldorf School's campus and classrooms and view some of the students' academic, art and handwork. The enrollment director and teachers will be on hand to answer questions and prospective parents can meet current students and their families.

Festival attendance is free. Visitors and open house attendees must RSVP to 727-786-8311 to ensure that everyone can be accommodated. Tickets will be sold for carnival games, activities and food / drink. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Suncoast Waldorf School. The Suncoast Waldorf School is dedicated to bringing children and families in the Tampa Bay area the highest quality classical education available. Its pure Waldorf curriculum promotes creativity, critical thinking, social responsibility and a lifelong love of learning.
