FIU_Museum_3.2010Florida International Museum will offer Tea and All Dressed Up - a live, fun-filled portrayal and characterization of a fictitious assistant to the designer and costumer.  This exciting new program complements the world premiere of a major exhibition, CUT! Costume and the Cinema.

"A performance by Nan Colton, acclaimed storyteller, creates a character known as Sue Anne Puckett who will bring costuming alive for our patrons," said Kathy Oathout, Director of Operations, The Palladium, Florida International Museum & SPC Downtown Arts.  "She is a wonderfully entertaining performer who uses her considerable talents to tell humorous stories about working with the temperament of creative personalities, interwoven with facts about the films that are represented in the exhibit."  Hooker Tea Company is providing tea and desserts before the performance in the SPC Downtown Community Room.

Tea and All Dressed Up will be featured at Florida International Museum at St. Petersburg College.  Two showings each day on Saturday, April 10th and May lst at 10:00 am and 2:00 pm; and Saturday, May 15 at 2:00 pm only.

All tickets are $15 and will include admission to CUT! Costume and the Cinema.  Reservations are required; call 727-341-7918.

CUT! Costume and the Cinema features forty-three period costumes from highly respected motion pictures depicting the art of making costumes for film. The exhibition reveals how film costumes set the scene and establish authenticity in a period film. CUT! Continues through May 16, 2010
