'After Hours' Cabaret at Raymond James Theater

American Stage Theatre Company’s “After Hours” Cabaret series performed in the Susan R. Hough cabaret space in the Raymond James Theatre continues with two new productions in January, LOVE AND THE MOON and JAZZ ON THIRD: CLASSICAL JAZZ FOR A NEW ERA, and the return of THE DUMB SHOW. All performances are “Pay-What-You-Can” at the door and $10 in advance.

Celebrate Paris and the moon with Lynn Locher’s cabaret style ode to love, featuring music ranging from the classical “Clair de Lune” by Faure all the way to "Harvest Moon" (yes, the one by Neill Young), with lots of standards, Broadway torch songs and other oddities inbetween.

Jazz On Third: Classical Jazz For A New Era

emilia_sargentFunny, sexy, and poignant, JAZZ ON THIRD entertains with a spectrum of beloved standards from the Great American Songbook, Broadway hits and original music by James Crumbly. Songs include favorites such as “You Hit the Spot,” “Deed I Do,” “Peel Me a Grape,” “If I Were a Bell,” “Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea,” “Bewitched,” “You’d Be So Nice to Come Home To,” “More Than You Know,” “Get Happy,” “The Frim Fram Sauce” and many others.

The Dumb Show

dumb_showTHE DUMB SHOW is a hilarious and irreverent take on the world, starting with a simple audience suggestion, after which Gavin Hawk and Ricky Wayne create a series of characters and scenes that showcase the best and worst of humanity, and will have you laughing and shaking your head in wonder at the same time.
